A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS
What is Learn Arduino?
Learn Arduino is a free browser-based introduction to Arduino Uno. Explore a 3D board, follow 16 lessons, adjust supported circuit parameters and run the provided sketches to see the simulated results.
Do I need an Arduino board or an account?
No hardware, account or installation is needed for the browser lessons. A real Arduino Uno, USB cable and suitable components are needed only when you want to build and upload a circuit outside this app.
Is this a full Arduino IDE or a general-purpose circuit simulator?
No. This app teaches a set of guided circuits and their supported sketch parameters. Its Run button executes the lesson simulation; it does not compile arbitrary Arduino C++ or upload firmware to a connected board. Use Arduino IDE and the appropriate libraries for real hardware.
What should a complete beginner try first?
Start with the Uno board lesson, then LED Blink. Identify D13 and GND, run the sketch, and change one delay at a time. Predict the result before changing it, then compare the LED and serial monitor with your prediction.
What is the difference between digital input, analog input and PWM?
Digital input reads a LOW or HIGH state. On the Uno lessons, analog input is represented as a value from 0 to 1023. PWM output uses values from 0 to 255 to vary the duty cycle of a digital signal; it is not a continuously variable analog voltage.
Why is the 3D view unavailable?
The 3D lessons need JavaScript and WebGL. Try reloading, enabling browser graphics acceleration, closing GPU-heavy tabs or updating your browser. If 3D fails, use the circuit view: the guided simulation, text guides and FAQ still work.
Where is my lesson progress saved?
Lessons you mark as understood, your last experiment and parameter values are stored in this browser. They are not synced to an account or another device. Clearing site data or using a different browser can remove or separate your progress.
How do I change the language?
Use the language selector in the workbench sidebar or the page footer. The root homepage stays English; selecting a language opens its own URL, such as /zh/ for Simplified Chinese. Browser language does not automatically redirect you. Full lesson content is available in English and Simplified Chinese; other language routes provide localized navigation with English learning content.
Does the simulation replace testing a real circuit?
No. The simulation simplifies component behavior and timing. Real circuits need correct polarity, current-limiting resistors, a shared ground and suitable power supplies. Check the exact board and component documentation before powering a physical circuit.
Is this the official Arduino website?
This is an independent learning app, not an official Arduino product. Arduino hardware documentation and examples are linked as primary references. Arduino is a trademark of its respective owner.
Can I use the lessons in a classroom?
You can open the free lessons in a browser and use the guides to discuss inputs, outputs and program flow. Check access and graphics support on classroom devices first. No classroom roster, teacher dashboard or cloud progress tracking is included.
Where can I find more useful tools?
Explore NavSprout for curated tools, use cases and comparisons, or AINavly for useful web apps, creative tools and browser games. Links to both products are provided below.
What are Learn Arduino Red and Learn Arduino Red Vercel App?
The reference app is hosted at learn-arduino-red.vercel.app. This site is a separately implemented Learn Arduino Vercel App with its own interface, 3D models and guided lessons. It is not the original Red deployment or an official Arduino product.
